Justin Hextall

Hi, I'm Justin Hextall, BS(Hons), LicAc, DipCHM, DipTCM(Gyn/Obs), MBAcC, MRCHM, and I've developed my clinical skills and knowledge since graduating from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in 1996 (acupuncture) and 2002 (herbal medicine).

Traditional East Asian Medicine has a continuous written history of over 2,000 years, with numerous frameworks and effective treatments. Understanding and practising it has become a lifelong passion.
I've attended numerous post-grad courses, been published in the Journal of Chinese Medicine. and written the 'morefertile' sites. I've also developed 'Dispensing Platform', a ground-breaking software system for herbal dispensing.

I'm currently studying classical 'Wen Bing' frameworks in Tuscany with Prof. Volker Scheid each summer. These formulas from 16th to 20th century masters make it possible to to treat "lingering and lurking pathogens" that can include 'covid-like' illnesses.

Herbal medicine can be prescribed remotely, so if you're not local, it's still possible to get treatment. I can also arrange personalised functional tests that can uncover biomedical issues including hormone imbalances, nutritional or digestive problems. They can be very useful to understand complex cases and to focus treatments effectively.

My clinical approach is to "provide a quality service and success as quickly as possible". My practice is based on having many patients who don't see me often, but see me when they need to.

    A member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM) since 2002. The frameworks include Traditional Chinese medicine, Shang Han Lun and Wen Bing, with an expertise in fertility, skin and complex conditions.

    A member of British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) since 1996.I've developed a practical approach to achieve successful outcomes in a minimum number of treatments. I also incorporate cupping therapy into acupuncture treatments.

    Justin spent over ten years researching and writing Morefertile, an information site on natural and assisted conception. It's a major fertility resource covering biomedicine, nutrition, western herbs and East Asian medicine.

    Creator of Dispensing Platform, a ground-breaking ERP management system for third-party and in-clinic dispensaries. It removes errors, streamlines script writing and makes herbal and dispensing practice significantly easier for them and their clients.

    Justin's article, “The treatment of threatened miscarriage with acupuncture and herbs” was published in the June 2026 edition of the Journal of Chinese Medicine. This article is based on the wealth of information in the "morefertile" websites.

    Lecturer

    Justin has given lectures on female fertility conditions including endometriosis and how to treat threatened miscarriage. He incorporates classical 'Nei Jing' theory and biomedicine frameworks to explain strategies and treatment options.

    Student

    Learning is one of life's joys, whether it's from my patients, or in a formal setting. I'm currently studying what the 17th century Wen Bing (warm-damp diseases) scholars can tell us on how to treat difficult diseases (like Covid) with Prof. Volker Scheid.

    Western diagnostics are sometimes needed to reveal hidden problems with nutrition, food intolerances and digestive dysfunction. My accounts with reputable testing labs gives me access to excellent tests, should clients wish to have them.

The large treatment room is always warm! The couch can be raised and lowered to accommodate everyone's needs. Informed consent and being respectful are crucial aspects here, while trying to keep the general atmosphere as light-hearted as possible.
